How can you not love it? Crisp air, gorgeous color, the earth changing before your eyes. Lovely autumn. Absolutely my favorite season. Since moving from the United States to England a few years ago, one of the things I do miss most is the distinct change of seasons. Of course they do have changes that occur with each season here in the UK, but after growing up in the rural NH countryside, I have to admit that the autumn "bar" has been set pretty high for me, lol. My creativity is always renewed and invigorated by the changing of the leaves and coolness of the air, and each fall finds me busy with new ideas and jewellery designs. This year I'm loving acorns. I've been experimenting with creating silver molds from acorns I find in the nearby woods and have a whole batch of the little darlings ready to be fired in my kiln. I created this gemstone and acorn charm necklace recently and it has inspired a whole line of new acorn jewellery ideas. I'm hoping to bring some of those ideas to life over the next week or so. In the meantime, I'm enjoying wandering the woods and stealing away every pretty little acorn I can find!
